How does Pierre Lagrange (founder of fund manager GLG, now part of Man Group) explain his fund’s success? “We give our employees freedom and responsibility.” He refers to FC Barcelona, where he attends a training every once in a while, and modestly calls himself “nothing but the coach of a team with amazing players”. Lagrange made these statements along with a number of other interesting quotes in an interview with de Standaard, arranged by Cantilis. The end result was an intriguing article… (De Standaard, 03/09/2011).
“Art is big business again” is the title of the interview with Christine Mostert, which was published in De Morgen on the 30th of April 2011. After having worked at Christie’s Belgium for 18 years, the art historian was employed by Puilaetco to assist clients who wish to invest in art. As a result, Puilaetco will be the first Belgian private bank that adds art as a fully fledged branch to its services. News papers De Tijd and L’Echo also incorporated an item concerning this new service at Puilaetco Dewaay.
